If two people bid the same amount, the first bid has priority. Each bidder is assigned an anonymous username that is used consistently throughout the bidding process. Your own name is never revealed to any other bidder.

Please note that Automated bids (i.e those generated when a person has bid a maximum that's greater than the minimum increment above the current bid) are only temporary bid markers and will be removed from the bid log when the next bid is placed. This may look alike a person is bidding against themselves when they are in fact bidding against a max bid (please see max bid example pdf).
